Wedding Dress

whats up people?
How you all doing?
i know it's been a while i have been on here, not my fault i have been busy with the ups and downs of life. seriously, i give it to the people who find the time almost ever other day to drop at least few lines on their blog spot. bellanaija (although some thing have changed), exschoolnerd http://madeinnaija.blogspot.com/ and vera http://www.verastic.com/ thumbs up gals you are really doing a wonderful job. anyways to the gist of the day. pls what is the difference between a 99 dollar white with trimmed-red wedding gown and a 4000 dollar white with trimmed red wedding gown?
i was having a conversation with one of my buddies few days ago and i sort of got pissed off because we were gisting and for some reason we started talking about wedding gowns. so i told her that if i could get a good looking gown that looks pretty on me for 99 dollars that i was going to get it instead of spending a ridiculous amount on wedding gown that i was going to wear just for less then a day. then she says "hell no" that it only happens once in a life time and that if she has the money that she wont mind buying the same gown for thousands of dollars. she said she would wear it and she could eventually pass it on to her unborn child. i told her that why would she pass it on to her child that i dont think i will be willing to wear a gown that was worn yrs before i was born that i would rather buy a new one well the converstion got to a point that we just had to change the topic. so if it were you what would you do by a gown for 99 dollars or thousands of dollars or get one that you mother passes down to you?

Visit to the dentist

i went to the dentist's office yesterday to see the oral hygienist in order to get my teeth cleaned. when i got there, i was told to lie down and relaxed then the hygienist checked the xtray i had done weeks before to see if everything was ok in there. next thing she brings out all those dental instruments and my heart just started pumping real fast. she checked my gum and then started counting for some reason i was like this wayo people have started again then she says. " you have a gum disease and i am sure that you must have notice that whenever you brush your teeth, your gum bleeds. i had to think for a while and it got me all confused. she said the disease was still at it's early stage; therefore. in order to prevent the disease from getting serious and having loose teeth i had to do some form of serious cleaning. in my head, i was like this is scary, guess she read my mind then told me that it was going to be simple that i wont feel any pain since i was going to be given lidocane. so i told her okay no problem. then she says well if you insurance will pay you can make use of laughing gas or valuim but i will be sore after the process and that i had to bring an excort along for the process. so i told her ok no problem. to verify, she went to bring another dentist that everything was going to be ok. well i scheduled an appointment for the following week even though i knew i was never going back to them (well maybe to go fill that one tooth they refuse to fill except they did the serious teeth cleaning).
anyways to cut the long story short, immediately i got home, i ran into the bathroom to brush my teeth just to see if the imaginary bllood the dentist was talking about was going to come out. abegi no redish thing came out except the toothpaste so can someone tell me what the hygienist was talking about?

yomitunde's intro to blogville

Hello old and new bloggers,

first i have to introduce myself, but one thing am sure of is that i am not a new blogger. i am so so addicted to reading certain blogs that i keep coming back for more. Although, i rarely leave comments i have a good laugh out of the comment section. At times, the comment section makes me to ask questions such as: is that nonye's blog page? what was she thinking? did he really do that etc...

Anyways, back to the intro, i am just an ordinary person trying to make the best out of life. I used to love reading and writing, but these days, it seems like a battle. life has taught me to appreciate what i have. also, i have learnt not to judge pple, unfortunately, i am not perfect so i find my self judging and criticizing my fellow human beings. apart from that i have learnt that in order to judge (that is if i have no choice lol) i have to listen to both sides of the coin because it's easier to jump into conclusions. i can go on with what i have learnt out of life, but that has not stop me from being nutty or stop me from making mistakes.

anyways story of the day, i was in the midst of high school history students today, and they were taking turns to debate about who should be the next president of the united states and one of the young kid's debate was based on the ages of contestant. the young man said "obama is 42, while mccain is 72 and that obama was still young and would be able to least 2 terms in off and as for mccain being 72 meant being old and that there really isnt any possibility that he would ba able to last in office for a term not to talk of two terms. his fellow classmates busted out in laffta. then the boy concluded by saying god-forbid mccain dies while is his the pres that means palin would have to take over the issues of the country and he wondered if she will be able to do a good job. now to the question does age determine when one will die?
